We ask for 24 hours’ notice for changes or cancellations; late or missed appointments incur a $50 fee (half for the first occurrence).

Supporting Busy Families and Professionals

Our scheduling and cancellation policy is thoughtfully built to support busy families and professionals who need both structure and flexibility in their week:

The Organized Parent: Wants a consistent, scheduled time for their child’s care to fit into a routine and ensure regular visits to keep their whole family healthy. These parents need predictable routines to squeeze care for their children and themselves in between school and soccer practice, or dance class or art class.

The Flexible Executive (WFH or unpredictable schedule): Needs the ability to book last-minute appointments when their day shifts, taking advantage of open slots without missing care. They schedule their reminders into their own calendar, based on their care recommendations, then select a time (during adjusting hours) to schedule a last-minute appointment when their work schedule is more confirmed. They can also walk in and wait for an opening (patients with appointments will have priority, however).

Why Not Walk-Ins Only?

Many successful chiropractic offices do walk-ins only. So why don’t we do that too? No appointment = no cancellations and no “no-shows.” I like this a lot, but this also causes problems.

Walk-ins make it difficult to keep visits on time, leading to longer waits and inconsistent care for patients. Patients often report waiting up to 45 minutes during peak times at walk-in style clinics, even though their visit is only one or two minutes.

Our hybrid approach allows us to prioritize appointments while typically accommodating a percentage of walk-ins with even shorter wait times than walk-in-only offices.

What if there was no cancellation policy

Trust me, we tried it, a lot. Without a cancellation policy, on any given day, up to 30% of patients may not show up, leaving costly gaps in the schedule and making it hard for other patients to get timely appointments. Our policy helps maintain a smooth, fair schedule, ensuring families and individuals can rely on their appointments and take advantage of last-minute openings when needed.

What is the no-show / cancellation rate in your office?

Our late cancellation / no-show rate is around 1%. This is due to our automated reminders, educating our patients, and proactive methods of ensuring time is respected in our office.

Why This Policy Helps You

A cancellation policy helps you plan your care and stay consistent, reinforcing your commitment to your health. By scheduling and keeping appointments, you take intentional steps toward better results and better overall wellness. We cater to patients who want their family to have a wellness routine, while still remaining available to those with busy lifestyles.
